Bio: Milky Chance is a group composed of Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch. They attended the same secondary school in Germany and began making music together in a jazz quartet before forming their own band. Sadnecessary is their debut studio album released in late 2013.

Luke’s Opinion: This album is very unique partly due to Rehbein’s interesting voice. Having both low and upbeat songs, there is a part of this album for every mood. Between the catchy choruses and subtle but driving beats, there are barely any songs that don’t please the listener. At first, some of the songs seem a little bit too similar, however as you pick out more of the background music, each song will prove itself worthy of being on this great album.
