With friends and family, Andy Klarman, Branford Basketball player, collected unwrapped toys during the Boys’ Basketball game versus Daniel Hand. Andy Klarman had decided to host a toy drive after he heard the news about the Newtown tragedy. After a big win that night for Branford, Andy says, “the outcome of the whole night was great.” Many members of the Branford Community attended the December game and contributed generously to the toy drive. “It was such an accomplishment to walk out after a win and see all of the unwrapped gifts that people had brought in,” Klarman said. There was an estimated $1,200 raised and over 500 unwrapped gifts contributed during the toy drive. This fundraiser has also been chosen to be Andy Klarman’s Capstone Project. “All in all it was a great outcome,” said Klarman.
